If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your face.

Over the past couple of years I’ve developed a passion and interest for skincare, especially natural and organic skincare. People forget that our skin is our largest organ on our bodies and generally neglect skincare when it comes to promoting a healthy lifestyle. Perhaps neglect is the incorrect term, but most lack knowledge on how vital it is. Growing up I knew it was always important to wash my face in the morning and night and use a moisturizer to keep my skin supple and smooth BUT I never did my research in regards to what I was actually putting on my face. When you go to the drug store or your local Sephora we buy all these “anti-aging” or “extra hydrating” products because they look cute or someone recommended it, etc. however, we neglect to actually look at the ingredients or harmful chemicals we are putting on our face. This began my research and lifestyle change to a more natural approach to skincare.

I am now 26 years old with no wrinkles (yet), bags, dark circles, stretch marks, etc (JINX KNOCK ON WOOD) – I definitely owe a vast amount of that because of what I eat, how frequently I work out, some good genes (THANKS MOM & DAD lol) BUT another reason for this is my skincare. Because I take such good care of my body I wanted to make sure I was doing the exact same thing to my skin.

Today I will be sharing with you my face skincare routine. Most of these products can be found at your local grocery store (Whole foods, Sprouts, Trader Joes). If you want to see more skincare posts please comment below! 🙂
