Malibu, CA

Sometimes I forget how beautiful this place I’ve called home for 5 1/2 years is. I tend to get so caught up in the hustle of Los Angeles that I forget to take a step back, and appreciate the beauty of where I live.

This past weekend by BFF and I headed to Malibu for some much needed R & R and some peace and quiet away from the city. I wanted to share with you all what we did/where we went if you are ever in the Los Angeles area or just craving a day in nature.

  • Our first stop was Sun Life Organics. Not only does this place promote such a positive message and beautiful story but they make the best açaí bowls in town. No joke. These bowls are made with so much love and the best naturopathic/organic ingredients for optimal nourishment for the body (which was definitely what we needed before heading to our next destination.

  • Our next and final stop on our mini Malibu adventure was to Solstice Canyon. This hike is stunning and quiet so you can fully enjoy the sounds of nature. It also features the oldest stone building in Malibu, which burned down many moons ago. If your up for some physical activity featuring some of the best views in Malibu, I definitely suggest this trail.
